Greeting and salutations, fellow muns of the Nightmare Realm. I've called attention to this post because Metal Sonic has an ability that really needs a Permissions Post to properly handle. One of Metal Sonic's key components in design is his ability to copy and store the biometric and combat data of those he encounters. What does this effectively mean?

Simply put, Metal Sonic is capable of becoming something of both a mimic and a doppelganger. Metal Sonic, if capable of analyzing the data of an opponent, will be capable of mimicking the powers of that character nearly flawlessly and even being able to shapeshift and assume the form and voice of whomever is in his databanks. He did this in Sonic Heroes, as a matter of fact, where he was capable of shapeshifting and replacing Dr. Eggman.

Naturally, this ability is potentially very powerful and has a lot of potential ramifications. The purpose of this post is a few fold. First, I would like to ask the following questions:

1) Can Metal Sonic copy your character's biometric/combat data at all? If "no," when Metal Sonic attempts a scan it will simply fail and the data will not be compatible with his hardware.

2) If yes to Number 1, how complete can this data be? Can he assume your character's form and mimic their voice?

3) If yes to Number 1, to what extent can Metal Sonic use their powers and abilities? Does he have free reign to use whatever they can throw? Or can he only use very specific abilities your character has? This includes magic, as Metal Sonic can reasonably appropriate and recreate magical abilities such as Chaos Control with his systems.

4) If Metal Sonic has access to any of your characters' data, would you like it wiped away at the end of the current cycle (or when Metal Sonic is Defeated), regardless of a Chaos Victory? If you say that it is okay for Metal Sonic to keep abilities beyond individual cycles, you still have the right to change your mind about it at any time.

5) How would you prefer Metal Sonic get this data? Would you mind it if he scanned your character from a distance? Or would it have to be during battle? Do you have any specific qualifiers you wish to put down for this? I'm very flexible.

With that out of the way, I'd like to address what Metal Sonic can't mimic: being a robot, he can't mimic any powers that specifically require organic components or an organic mind. Psychic Powers are unlikely to be successfully copied as Metal Sonic does not have a true "brain." He could not use the Force from Star Wars either, as that requires the body to be organic. Some transformations that would give people a power boost due to the organic or inherently magical nature of something (IE, Terra's Esper transformation) would not benefit him in any way, though he could still mimic the shape, just not its power.

Also, below, I will include a table of Metal Sonic's currently obtained powers and information and stipulations associated with them.

2) No to both.

3) He can't access her Trance form or any abilities associated with it, like Riot Blade.

4) If there's a Chaos victory, he can keep the info beyond the current cycle. Otherwise, it gets wiped.

5) He would have to get close enough to engage in combat, not that he has to start such before scanning.

Not a problem at all. I actually had planned on that, believe it or not. Ultima's just way too damn good to pass around like a baton. XD

2) Yes, though only in battle. (It will be lovely for adding to her current issues.)

3) He can use her black magic, but not her summons or augments.

4) It can remain for a Chaos victory, otherwise it will be wiped.

5) He ought to be close enough for battle, though need not be actively engaging to use it.

3) He can have access to his speed, agility, strengh, regeneration, accuracy. No to any of his actual attacks or weapons however as those require actual blood to pull off.
4) You can keep it past this cycle if you care to should Chaos win.
5) He can do it at a distance, but preferrably within a couple yards of the man. Feel free to do it in combat also, though before going into combat with my guy, I'd like for you to fill out his own permissions form.

1) Yes! However there's something that might be a catch. Biologically speaking, Haseo is 100% human and normal. All of his combat data comes from being trapped/pulled in the form of his MMO character, so all those abilities are strictly awesome programming. Dunno if that makes any difference.

2) Yep! go for it!

3) He can use anything Haseo can dish out except use of his avatar Skeith. Skeith is a particular set of semi-AI data that is uniquely tied only to Haseo's... spirit if you want to call it that. Any kind of scan might detect there is a stupidly huge amount of locked down data inside him, and that'd be Skeith.

4) Go for it. If/when Haseo gets a canon update, I'll note what's new.

5) I'm not entirely picky on this. :D
